What’s interesting audio rights aren’t included in it. It’s even more shocking as not just a single shot is shoot for Dabangg 2. Dabangg 2 has shattered the earlier records of SRK’s Ra.One (100 crs) and Aamir’s Talaash (90 crs) rights.
Dabangg 2 is among the most awaited launches of the yr, and when it
went under the hammer, the trade was normally agog. Everybody had one
question – Who’d bag the rights of Dabangg 2, and for how much?
Practically every production agency had queued up to bid for this movie,
featuring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. Eventually, UTV Motion
Pictures emerged the successful, making a record.The figure: an amazing
Rs 140 crs for all the rights, except the audio rights.
This is the maximum ever acquisition cost in the history of the
Bollywood. Rivals like Reliance Entertainment and Fox Star Studios were
also in the running and are reported to have presented Rs 115 crs and Rs
105 crs, respectively, for the sequel to the the year 2010 action
comedy.On the other hand for the time being Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO,
UTV Motion Pictures and Film director Arbaaz Khan didn’t comment
anything on this issue.
